Medella Vina RanchTour the Venue
About

A romantic country cottage sanctuary, hidden in Tucson.

The place

What makes this place special.

Medella Vina Ranch is about 35 acres on South Houghton Road. Kallista Park is the private garden wedding and event venue inside it — the part you book. Lush ceremony gardens, welcoming indoor and outdoor gathering spaces, and attentive planning support, from the first tour through the final moments of the celebration.

What couples tend to notice on a tour is that the whole thing happens in one place. Ceremony in the garden, social hour under the mulberry tree, reception in the hall — no convoy between venues, no guests lost between them. And because the hall is air-conditioned and heated, guests stay comfortable in every season.

Medella Vina Ranch also opens to the public through the year: the Antique & Vintage Fair, Wednesday happy hour, and six Sundays of Blues & Vines.

Questions

Frequently asked questions.

How large is the property?
Medella Vina Ranch is about 35 acres. Kallista Park is the private garden venue inside it, and it is the part you book for a wedding, a celebration or a corporate event.
How many guests can you hold?
It depends on the package. The Whimsical Wedding runs to 75, the Cinderella to 100, and the Secret Garden to 200. For private events, the Premier Party Package reaches 150 and the Quinceañera 200. The Wine Bar & Garden is the small one, at 40.
Can we bring our own caterer and vendors?
For the Whimsical Wedding, the Secret Garden Wedding and the à la carte private packages, yes — none of those include catering, and they are built around your own vendors. The Cinderella, 4-Hour, Premier Party and Quinceañera packages already include food, cake and a DJ.
Can we bring our own alcohol?
No. All alcohol and beverages must be purchased through Kallista Park, and no outside beverages of any kind are permitted, including bottled water. Complimentary water is always available.
What happens if it rains?
The Main Hall is air-conditioned and heated and comfortably accommodates 100+ guests, so there is indoor space for the day. Talk to us early about the plan for your date. Public events run rain or shine and tickets are non-refundable.
Are dogs allowed?
At the Antique & Vintage Fair, yes, everywhere except inside Kallista Park itself. During Blues & Vines, no pets are permitted anywhere on the property.
Is there a rehearsal?
Every wedding package includes a complimentary one-hour Wednesday evening rehearsal for the couple and the wedding party.
What is the ground like?
The property includes natural landscaping, gravel, flagstone and uneven terrain. Worth a word to guests in heels, and worth telling us if anyone in your party needs a level route.
Do you hold more than one event at a time?
No. When you reserve Kallista Park, the park is yours. Your guests are not sharing a lobby or a ballroom corridor with another party.
How do we hold a date?
Book a tour first — call 520-298-1983 or send the form on the Tour the Venue page. Dates are held against a signed contract, and prices are subject to change until that contract is signed.
